Career Planning
Overview
The Career Planning component of Naviance allows students to realize their goals, skills, knowledge, values, constraints, and interests to help them make better academic decisions. During this process, students learn about the academic preparation required to pursue careers that will likely be fulfilling.
To get started:
- Set up career planning.
- Have students complete career planning activities in Naviance Student.
- Track students' career planning activities.
Get started
Depending on your goals and objectives, consider having students complete the following activities to get started:

| Browse careers | Students can review career profiles and career cluster profiles to learn more about careers of interest. |
| Search job opportunities | Students can search for job opportunities and make connections between job opportunities and careers to enhance their career exploration. |
Explore local opportunities | Students can find information provided by districts, states, industries, organizations, or businesses about local career opportunities with high workforce demand. |
| Watch Roadtrip Nation videos | Students can search the interview archive by interests and themes to expose them to potential careers in their areas of interest. |
| Find work-based learning events | Students can search through work-based learning events and opportunities added by the school or district, favorite events, and indicate if they are applying or attending. |

The information students find using the career planning tools can be used in classroom activities.
