Create PowerSchool ID Using Google Account

Teachers and students can use their Google account and password to create their PowerSchool ID. Alternately, administrators can also import Google email addresses, which automatically creates the PowerSchool ID for users, then the users can use their Google account to sign in to Unified Classroom

The following procedure is performed by the Unified Classroom user.

Create PowerSchool ID for Teachers Using Google Account  

  1. Open a web browser, enter your PowerTeacher portal URL. You will be redirected to Unified Classroom.
  2. On the Welcome to PowerSchool page, click Create PowerSchool ID. 
  3. On the Teacher Sign In page, enter your existing PowerTeacher portal username and password.
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. On the Welcome to the Unified Classroom PowerSchool ID page, click Continue

  6. On the Set Up Your New PowerSchool ID page, click Sign In With Google.
  7. If you are currently signed in to Google, skip to Step 9.
  8. If you are not currently signed in to Google, follow the Google prompts to select the account you want to create a Unified Classroom account with.
    Note: An error message appears if the Google account you selected is already associated with a PowerSchool ID.
  9. Note your PowerSchool ID and Sign In URL. You will need this information to sign in to Unified Classroom in the future.
  10. Click Continue to Unified Classroom.

Create PowerSchool ID for Students Using Google Account 

  1. Open a web browser, enter your PowerSchool Student and Parent portal URL.
  2. On the Student and Parent Sign In page, click Student Sign In.
    Note: As a parent, if you do not already have a PowerSchool Student and Parent portal username and password, click the Create Account tab to create a parent account. For detailed information, see Create a Parent Account in the PowerSchool Student and Parent portal online help. 

  3. On the Welcome to PowerSchool page, click Create PowerSchool ID.
  4. On the PowerSchool ID Creation page, enter your existing PowerSchool Student and Parent portal username and password.

  5. Click Next
  6. On the Welcome to the Unified Classroom PowerSchool ID page, click Continue
  7. On the Set Up Your New PowerSchool ID page, click Sign In With Google.
  8. If you are currently signed in to Google, skip to Step 9.
  9. If you are not currently signed in to Google, follow the Google prompts to select the account you want to create a Unified Classroom account with.
    Note: An error message appears if the Google account you selected is already associated with a PowerSchool ID.
  10. Note your PowerSchool ID and Sign In URL. You will need this information to sign in to Unified Classroom in the future.
  11. Click Continue to Unified Classroom. 

Next Step

Once users have created their PowerSchool ID using their Google Account, users can then sign in to Unified Classroom using their Google account.
