Create a Group SLO or SGO

You can create a Student Learning Objective or Student Growth Objective and apply it to a group of teachers. This process creates an individual SLO or SGO for each selected teacher.

  1. From the main navigation menu, choose SLO/SGO, then New Group SLO/SGO.
  2. On the Properties tab, enter a title for the Group SLO/SGO.

    Include the course type in the title for improved searchability and identification.

  3. Select the School Year, School, Grade, Course, and Element. You can enter multiple values for schools, grades, courses.

    Only district and school administrators have multiple choices for School.

  4. Enter descriptions in SLO/SGO, Rationale and Baseline Data.

    Use the resizing corner to expand the text boxes as needed for the display.

  5. Enter the Meeting Dates and Purpose. Click the plus icon to add a meeting. Click the minus icon to remove a meeting.
  6. Click Save.

  7. Click the Attributes tab.
  8. Select the Band and test Source.
  9. Choose the post-test for the SLO or SGO.
    1. Click Select.
    2. Search for the test name or test ID.
    3. Click Select for the desired test.
  10. To select a different test, repeat the previous step.

  11. Select a Formula. Depending on your choice, you may need to enter additional properties. Refer to SLO and SGO Formulas for more information on SLO and SGO formulas and their variables.

    If you select a baseline test to accommodate a formula, the list of associated standards is narrowed to all standards associated with both the post and baseline tests.

  12. Optionally, click the X for a standard you want to remove from consideration for this SLO or SGO. You can click a removed standard to restore it to the SLO or SGO.

  13. Choose individual teachers or select All in the headers. Clear selections to remove teachers.
  14. Click Save.
  15. When saving a group SLO or SGO, you have two choices:
    • Save Progress saves the group SLO or SGO as a draft so you can continue working on it before creating individual teacher SLOs or SGOs.
    • Finalize saves the group SLO or SGO and creates individual SLOs or SGOs for each selected teacher.

    You cannot edit individual SLOs or SGOs created as a result of a group SLO or SGO. You must make updates to the original group SLO or SGO.

    If you delete a group SLO or SGO, all individual SLOs or SGOs created from that group SLO or SGO are also deleted.
