Intervention Administration

Use the Intervention Admin page to define the list of intervention programs that will be used in Performance Matters. Create categories and programs and establish their settings and values according to your district's process and programs. The configurations set on this page determine which options are available to users who create specific interventions.

Organizational Settings

Use the Organizational Settings section to determine organization-level settings that can be applied to any categories and programs.

Scoring Tools and Units of Measure

Scoring tools are the mechanisms used to monitor student progress. You can create as many custom scoring tools as necessary.

  1. From the main navigation menu select Intervention, then Intervention Admin to access the administration tools.
  2. Click the pencil icon to manage the Scoring Tools/Units of Measure.

    If the pencil icon is not available to edit the scoring tools or unit of measure, click Organization Settings.
  3. In the Edit Scoring tools window, enter the desired tool name, then click Add.
  4. Optionally, add tools as needed.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Select the organization defaults to be inherited by categories and programs.
  7. For each active scoring tool, click Units to set the unit of measure.
  8. Select the desired units of measure.
  9. Optionally, enter a corresponding Target Goal for each selected unit of measure.
  10. Click OK.

Other Settings

  1. Select the expected Duration to determine the length of time (in minutes) for intervention meetings.
  2. Select the Frequency of intervention meetings.
  3. Select the expected Group Size, or the number of students in a given intervention.
  4. Select the Meeting Days of the week on which meetings could occur.
  5. Select the Tier, or severity classification of the intervention.
  6. Click Save.

Add Intervention Categories

  1. From the main navigation menu select Intervention, then Intervention Admin.
  2. Enter the new category name.
  3. Click Add Category.
  4. Repeat as needed until all desired categories are added.
  5. The categories display as folders in the navigation panel. Select a category to display its settings.
  6. Select Inherit Organization Settings to use the default settings, or determine all settings for the category following the same process used for Organization Settings.
  7. Click Save.

Create Intervention Programs

  1. From the main navigation menu select Intervention, then Intervention Admin.
  2. Select the category under which the program should reside.
  3. In the settings panel, click Add Program.
  4. Enter the program name.
  5. Optionally, select Add Another to create another program within this category.
  6. Click OK.
  7. The programs will display in the navigation panel. Select a program to display its settings.
  8. Check Inherit Organization Settings to use the default settings, or determine all settings for the program following the same process used for organization settings.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Repeat as necessary until all programs are added for all categories.

Secure a Program

Securing a program will restrict which users have access to sensitive information in the Intervention tab in Student Details.

  1. From the main navigation menu select Intervention, then Intervention Admin.
  2. Select the category, then choose the program.
  3. Click Secure Student Detail.
  4. Click Add Group.
  5. Select the necessary users or groups who require access to the program.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Select Access for each user or group.
  8. Click Save.

By default, all programs are available to all users unless secure permissions are in place.

Copy a Program

  1. From the main navigation menu select Intervention, then Intervention Admin.
  2. Select the category, then choose the program.
  3. Click Copy.
  4. Name the new program.
  5. Select the appropriate category.
  6. Click Copy to save the new program.

Delete a Program

  1. From the main navigation menu select Intervention, then Intervention Admin.
  2. Select the category, then choose the program.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
